2015 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING PRE-NOTICE

Please be advised that the 2015 Annual General Meeting is scheduled to be held on Monday, May 25th, 2015 in the Social Room, located at 115 Hillcrest Avenue, Mississauga. Ontario Registration at 6:30 p.m. to permit the meeting to commence at 7:30 p.m. sharp.
One of the items on the Agenda will include the election of two (2) positions in total on the Board of Directors, each for a three (3) year term. One of the positions up for election on the Board this year is the designated Owner-Occupied position. The Condominium Act requires that all residential condominiums in Ontario designate one position on the Board to be voted on only by owners who occupy (live in) their units. This change was implemented to ensure that condominiums with a large proportion of units owned by investors would be assured representation by at least one member of the Board who had been voted for by owners who reside in the building.
Official Notice of the Annual General Meeting will be mailed to all owners on May 5th, 2015. In accordance with Section 28(2) of the Condominium Act. the official notice of the said meeting shall include the name and address of each individual who has notified the Board in writing of their intention to be a candidate in the election as of the fourth day for director or the day before the notice is sent for owner-occupied position.
Accordingly, if you wish your name and address to be included in the official notice. please submit it in writing to your Property Manager, at the address above. or at the management office, or by fax to 905-672-3366. or by email to vvandettelarlvn.com prior to May 1st, 2015 by noon or by May 4th, 2015 by noon for owner-occupied position. Alternatively owners do have the right to nominate other candidates. or themselves from the floor. at the Annual General Meeting. however. nominees from the floor will not have the advantage of being voted on by those owners who are voting by proxy.
Please also note that only those owners whose names appear on the Corporation’s register 20 days prior to the Meeting are entitled to receive Notice of and vote at the Meeting. Kindly advise the Corporation of an address change. in writing, prior to April 30th, 2015.
